First Cache State Medallion Set: Kansas

Ever wonder where the first cache was placed in each state? This fun new series of trackable medallions was created to celebrate the first active cache listing in each state. Each set in the series features two medallions with matching tracking codes. Keep one and send the other out into the world. The large medallion measures 38mm while the small is 24mm. Both feature the same front design and identical tracking codes. The large medallion also includes information on the date and placement of the first state cache. The series is being released in the same order that caches first appeared in each state.

The first geocache placed in Oregon was "GCF The Original Stash" a Traditional cache placed on May 3, 2000, sadly it has been archived.

Each State Medallion Set gets its own page on geocaching.com where you can track its progress as it passes from person to person or cache to cache. Or make your friends jealous when you let them discover it at events!
